Sandata - The Official band blog

Election time is here again, and Sandata was lucky enough to be invited to a Meeting de Avance over at Hermosa, Bataan. It was one of the most fulfilling gigs Sandata has played, and we cannot thank Mayor Danny Malana ang his family enough. Words alone can’t describe our experience there so here are some of the many pictures taken on that trip:

We all met up at the Casa Verde Super Fortress and had lunch. In the picture you can see my brother Adrian with Chris and Myles having a hearty feast. But where’s Mario?

It was only 11:40am and already he was partied out! I guess he couldn’t handle the macaroni. Being true to that rock and roll lifestyle!

We encountered light traffic along NLEX but it was smooth sailing after that. We arrived in Subic around 5pm and the place we were to stay in was nothing short of spectacular:

After we all got settled, we were ready to go to the venue. We were first brought to a warehouse (sounds shady but it isn’t, really!) in Hermosa, Bataan where we were to wait until it was our turn to take the stage.

Director Biboy Belarmino?! What a surprise! The director of our first music video was also there in Bataan…in a warehouse. I think this is a sign for another video. *note: we do not in anyway tolerate the ugly pink shirt he was wearing. It was destroyed right after this picture was taken*

After goofing off around the warehouse, we paid our respects to the Princess of Hermosa, Kat Malana. Behold such a regal sight! (it looks like she was tickling Myles’ goatee… or was she?)

After goofing off at the warehouse, it was time to get down to business. A pre-gig warm up is a must!

We then headed to the venue, and were completely overwhelmed by the sea of 10,000 people!

It was quite an experience for us and hopefully, we will be back again for yet another performance. After we played, Adrian and Biboy told us what they thought about our performance:

The south leg of the Unos video launch is over and it was fantastic! Thanks again to Mayonnaise, Fuseboxx, Enemies of Saturn, and Wagyu for being part of the launch of our first music video! Of course, this wouldn’t have been possible without the help of Red Ninja Productions (who will be having their 1st year anniversary gig soon. congrats!), Al’s Bar, and everyone else who stayed.

So far, this is the schedule of our upcoming gigs:

March 19 at Mag:net Bonifacio Highstreet- We’ll be playing with Mayonnaise, Nyctinasty, Ang Bandang Shirley, and other bands!

March 20 at Obsidian Bar Ortigas Home Depot- It’s Faintlight night! Anticipate great performances from Imbuenokudos, Kneel On Nails, Start It Up, Makarel, Pitik, and Faintlight (but of course!).

March 26 at Mag:net Bonifacio Highstreet- It’s the mid-Metro Manila leg of our video launch! Although the line-up is not yet final, bands such as Glorious Masai Mara (Dragon Metal!!!), and Severo have been confirmed. It’s going to be grand!

April 17 at Amoranto Stadium - Pulp Summerslam MUTHA FUCKA! It’s the 10th Summerslam and we will be sharing the stage with LAMB OF GOD and TESTAMENT! I’ll try my best to act cool around them but it’s very likely that I’ll breakdown in tears.
